《重任在肩第一季》劇情簡介
在一次反恐行動中，由於情報失誤，英國特警部隊誤殺了一名懷抱孩子的中東移民，負責行動隊的首長決定將這宗醜聞徹底抹去，遂找來了知道真相的隊員們統一口徑，錄製假口供。刑偵隊長史蒂夫（馬丁·康普斯頓 Martin Compston 飾）對於首長的決定十分不滿，於是辭去了職務，被調往隸屬於英國反貪署的秘密行動組。
史蒂夫的任務是調查一位名為托尼（連尼·詹姆斯 Lennie James 飾）的偵緝總督察，他因為涉嫌貪汙而被列入了監視的名單。史蒂夫和女警探凱特（薇琪·麥克盧爾 Vicky McClure 飾）一同打入了托尼所領導的小組內部，史蒂夫卻意外的發現，凱特還有另外一重秘密的身份。
