馬西莫（邁克爾·莫羅內 Michele Morrone 飾）出生於一個非常繁盛的西西裏黑手黨家族之中，從小肩上就背負了繼承家業的重任。身為族長的父親遭人暗殺，盡管馬西莫對與黑道這點事情毫無興趣，但作為家族唯一的繼承人，他隻能接替父親的位置，成為了首領。
