1875年。塞薩爾·布拉沃和羅曼·布拉沃兄弟倆在葡萄牙的一次搶劫中失去了所有的同夥，之後，兩人回到家鄉。然而歸鄉之後兩人才發現，他們所擁有的，隻是一塊荒蕪的土地和一座破舊的茅草房——他們得用這些僅有的資源去展開新生，從新做人，與過去一刀兩斷。
然而，兄弟倆美好的憧憬被有權有勢又嚴厲的大地主羅伯打破。羅伯隨意指使村裏的窮苦人民按他的意願行事，這兩個外鄉人的到來在他看來是他的”獨裁統治”的一大威脅……
《狼舞之地第一季》是一部關於歐洲中世紀的電視劇作品，故事發生在了那個充滿著牛仔氣息的年代裏。就那個年代唯一的交通工具是馬，因為馬誕生了很多的牛仔，這些牛仔沒有屬於自己的地方，有的隻是一腔熱血，他們想要有自己的家，就要娶妻，隻有這樣才能夠成立自己的家庭，但是娶了妻子並不代表能擁有屬於自己的天地，當地土地十分富裕，可以說隻要你肯幹，就可以任意選擇自己想要的地方...
