《西部世界》主創喬納森·諾蘭＆麗莎·喬伊夫婦將打造未來題材新劇《外圍》(The Peripheral)，基於William Gibson所著同名小說，兩人的製片公司Kilter Films和亞馬遜聯合製作，如果劇本可行，將直接預定整季。設定在未來的美國，科技開始潛移默化地改變社會，女主Flynne Fisher發現了與一個不同現實的隱藏聯係，以及她自己的黑暗的未來。
