隨著第二季開始，正當Elsbeth Tascioni開始適應她在紐約的新生活和職業生涯時，她在芝加哥犯下的錯誤再次開始困擾她。分局剛從去年的不愉快中恢複過來，又被一位愛管閑事的新任副警監進行了重組，Blanke警官和Wagner警監因此也麵臨著各自的挑戰。與此同時，團隊在與那些自以為可以逍遙法外的人交鋒之餘，見識了紐約精英階層更為奇怪的一麵。
